The sheer volume of talent came out for the Aladdin auditions and Director Tony Cusack felt the pressure this year when it came to casting.

"If I could, I would cast everybody, but then we would have a 4hour show. We tried that didn't work"

EMMA O'DRISCOLL - Princess sukyaki

Emma O'Driscoll is our very special guest star - Emma needs no introduction to Panto patrons and has appeared many times with the Society. Emma has worked as a presenter on Children's TV for RTE. Emma is currently involved in many varied Projects and has launched her new Limerick based Stage School Gem Stars. The Society is delighted to announce that Emma will play the female lead Princess Sukyaki in this year's much anticipated production.


A founding member of the Society, Tim has been there from the start. He didn't start off in wigs and bloomers, Oh no, this man could tell you the various characters he has played over 33 years.

Tim Cusack will play the traditional Panto Dame. This year's Dame is Aladdins Mother had has opened a Laundry to make ends meet. Tim will enthral both young and old with his zany sense of humour.

A.K.A. "Street Boy" is ready to bring more charm, humour and crazy dance moves to the stage this Christmas. 

This man will capture your attention and keep it until the final bow.

Jason Ronan - Aladdin

From Clonmacken, Limerick; The Panto Society have wanted to work with Jason for quite some time and now have a role suited for him to a "T".

Jason is well known in the musical societies around the Munster region and is currently preparing for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" with The Cecilian Musical Society and The Wiz with the Shannon Musical Society.

Talented and not bad on the eyes; We are excited to see this "Laundry Boy" win the heart of his Princess.

Stuart Mackey - Abanazer 

What is a Panto without a good "Baddie" to "BOOOOOOOOOO".

Stuart has always returned to us when possible to perform for the Society and this year we are going to see if he can command the stage as the BIGGEST PANTO BADDIE of All.

Standing on the shoulders of Giants.

Recently graduating from Limerick School of Art and Design Stuart is currently working between Limerick and Galway. Stuart is also rehearsing in Galway for the Play "Middletown" with the Galway Actors.

Damien Shaw - EMPress

A pro when it comes to comic relief; Damien will be putting a twist on the Empress of China.


Damien is as dedicated off stage as he is on; as head of PR Damien works tirelessly to ensure The LPS ar eshown in the best light.

Vinnie ryan - Emperor 

A powerhouse of a performer "Singing", "Acting", "Too Cool for Dancing". Vinnie Ryan last performed as Daddy Bear in Goldilocks the Circus Panto with the Panto Society in 2015.

A pro at Panto, Vinnie is the cherry on top of our illustrious cast.

Now he takes on the role of the Emperor of China; no one stands in his way.......except his wife.


Keith Mcguane - Gadget

Nothing needs to be said about this man that hasn't already been said. A true pillar to a show, Keith has played the Hero, the Villain, the fool.

Ready to take on his quirkiest role yet he will be have to watch what buttons he presses, especially around Widow Twankey.

Can Gadget help save the day with a wacky trick up his sleeve?

ronan mitchel - genie of the bottle

  • Ronan is a self employed hairdresser and has always had a love for the stage. Having performed in several pantos Ronan can't wait to bust a move on stage.
  • Ronan is rehearsing for Shannon musical societies production of The Wiz where he will be playing the part of the Tin Man. Having played numerous roles in Limerick, he is really looking forward to this years production.




  • 10 years spent as part of the Society; We are proud to say Shawna will grace the stage with us again this year. Having blossomed as a performer and director, Shawna has taken on many roles on and off the Stage over her short career, most notably developing UL Drama Soc into the society it is today. Currently studying Event Management in LIT, Shawna will be a force to be reckoned with.

Daniel is a relatively late bloomer when it comes to stage, having first gifted the world his presence with Ardscoil Ris' We Will Rock You (produced by LPS' Tony Cusack). A member of Limerick Youth Theatre and plays hurling with Clonlara's Lara Minors, and also plays rugby and acoustic guitar, and also loves the gym. Especially fond of "comic relief" style roles




  • Starting Panto in 2013 playing John from Peter Pan, Cian has been in Panto ever since. He's played many roles such as Harry in Mamma Mia, Bill Sykes in Oliver and most recently The Funny Dwarf in Snow White. Cian cannot wait to start rehearsals for Aladdin.


  • Aoife started in Expressive Arts Theatre School aged 15; performing in their annual showcases. She was a chorus member in the Cecilian musical societys’ production of ‘Oliver’ in 2015. She joined Limerick Panto Society aged 16 and is now a committee member. Aoife is currently studying a BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Aoife has a great interest in theatre and loves every aspect of being on and off stage.




  • With her eye on the prize, Amy has been a member of Limerick Panto Society for the last three years. She has previously acted with Limerick Youth Theatre in three separate productions this year. She is currently studying Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies in Mary I and hope to persue a profession in theatre and the fine arts.

  • Peter has been involved with Expressive Arts Theatre School since the age of five, he has performed in several pantos with our societyand he is also involved with UL Drama Society and their committee. Peter has played parts from Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Lumière in Beauty and the Beast, Captain Von Trapp in the Sound of Music and Buttons in our 30th Anniversary show Cinderella. He can't wait for this years production



  • Acting since the age of 13 performing in more than 25 productions in 10 years. Since beginning university in Mary Immaculate College, Shane has not only acted but has also written and directed his own. He also presented for Wired FM with a BA in Media and English. Last year Shane took on his first ever panto, bagging the role of Prince Charming in LPS's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

YASmin mcGarvey - Mitzi

  • This is Yasmins third show with the society. Last year she left not a dry eye in the audience with her portrayal of Cheryl.




Rachel hunt -MITZI

  • This is Rachel’s fourth year of performing with Limerick Panto Society. Having played Hermione in last year’s Pantomime, and was part of Expressive Arts Theatre School from age 4 til 17. She has had leading roles in other productions throughout the years, such as Belle in Expressive Arts’ “Beauty and the Beast”, Serena in Laurel Hill Secondary School’s “Legally Blonde”, and Scaramouche in Ardscoil Rís’ “We Will Rock You”. She is really looking forward to another year of fun with the rest of the cast!

Jake MaDigan - Kid Danger


This is the fifth production Jake will be involved in with the Limerick Panto Society. He has previously played one of The Lost Boys in Peter Pan and “The Clever One” in Snow White and is so excited to be playing Henry Danger in this year’s production. Jake am currently studying a BA in Voice and Dance in the University of Limerick. Panto has been a huge part of his life for the last few years and can’t wait to be back on the Lime Tree stage this year.



· Eoin is delighted to be part of the cast, having last performed with the society in the 2014 production of Peter Pan. Eoin is no stranger to the stage having performed with cecilians, spotlight, centrestage "Nothing beats the banter you get in Panto"

  • Aoife is studying a BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies in MIC. She has enjoyed performing on stage since the age of 5 with Spotlight Stage School. She is a Singing and a Speech and drama student in the Limerick School of Music. Through this she has competed in the Feile Luimni where she won the O’Dowda cup for Musical Theatre in 2014 and 2016. Some performances she has been involved in include Excel Youth Theatre’s Les Miserables, where she played Fantine and Actors Co Op’s Scrooge, where she played Martha. She is really looking forward to this year’s Panto!


This is Saorlas third year with the Limerick Panto Society and we are glad to have her back. Last year during our production of SnowWhite, Saorla shared the stage with her older sister Issey; who is currently studying theatre at UCC. Move out of the way sis it's Saorlas turn.
